NOTE

In many relatively recent publications including some currently on the WWW the above species are considered separately. This explains why many names, which are mostly derived from the original Latino-American, are found under several species. It all makes sense once all the species are regrouped together under one name. However we suspect that some nomenclatural denomination (cv. var. etc. ) could reflect the physical differences observed in the plants in the field.
