NOTE

Richard J. Schmidt (Botanical Dermatology Database) highlights the doubts regarding the toxicity of the wood of some species within this genus. Much further research into the taxonomy of Bassia, Illipe, Flindersia, Madhuca , and Paratecoma, is obviously needed.
