A number of the above names are probably missplaced due to the confusion over the synonymy Nardostachys jatamansi auct. = Nardostachys grandiflora DC. They should only be matched with Nardostachys jatamansi (Jones) DC. below. "Balchad" is an example. On the other hand some names probably apply to both species.
