This index is still in construction.
The above list will eventually include words in the three main languages spoken in Burma / Myanmar : Burmese, Karen and Shan and a "dialect" from the State of Kachin, north of Burma. The Karen and Shan words are displayed here in the Burmese script . They may also be found in the Thai index written with the Thai script.
Re: Burmese name tabindaingwa.
There could be a confusion, in non scientific circles, between Bambusa longispiculata Gamble ex Brandis and Bambusa longispatha Kurz which is now called Dendrocalamus longispathus (Kurz) Kurz . If this is the case which of the two species should be called "tabindaingwa" ?
