1. On languages of India.
This section being concentrated on plants used in Ayurvedic medicine,
one expects a lot of names in the various languages of India. So far we
have mainly collected a wide range of romanised names, each
showing great variations in the romanisation and transliteration. The sorting of
these will only be possible following the publication of an up-coming
book by Dr. Pankaj Oudhia and I on the subject. Only then will we be
able to extract the mistakes from the validly romanised
names, well... at least we'll thin them out. There are at least 500 well documented species
to be eventually covered. Presently we are concentrating on 100 and we
appreciate the enormous amount of work ahead of us.
